Some of our critters hanging out in the barnyard!

Daisy is our Brown Swiss dairy cow. She is 7 years old and gives
the BEST milk. Dad says she produces about 6 gallons a day! She is super
gentle and loves it when I scratch behind her ears. She is basically a
1,200 pound puppy dog.

Biscuit is our Border Collie and he is the SMARTEST dog ever!! He helps Dad herd the cattle and knows like 30 different commands. He is 4 years old and his favorite thing is catching frisbees. He sleeps at the foot of my bed every night even though Mom says he is not supposed to be in the house LOL. |

Whiskers is our orange tabby barn cat. We found him as a kitten in the hay loft 3 years ago. He is the best mouser on the farm - Dad says he earns his keep!! He likes to sit on the porch railing and watch the sunset. He is basically the king of Prairie Creek Farm and he knows it. |

We have 14 chickens! They are Rhode Island Reds and they are SO funny to watch. My favorite is Henrietta because she follows me around the yard like a little puppy. We get about 10-12 eggs a day which is way more than we can eat so we sell them at the stand too. Fresh eggs are $1.50 a dozen! |

Thunder and Lightning are our two horses! Thunder is a big bay Quarter Horse and Lightning is a palomino mare. I have been riding since I was 6 and Lightning is MY horse. We go riding along Prairie Creek almost every evening in the summer. It is the best feeling in the whole world!! |
