OMG Mike your site is the BEST JP site I've found!!! I've been searching on AltaVista for weeks. Your dino guide is amazing especially the accuracy stuff. I'm a biology major and I appreciate that you actually care about getting the science right (even when the movie doesn't lol). The Lost World was INCREDIBLE, I agree with your review like 95%. Only difference - I actually LIKED the gymnastics scene haha, girl power!!! Keep up the awesome work!!!

Yo Mike! Found your page through the JP Web Ring. Sick site dude!!! I saw The Lost World 3 times already, going again this weekend. The San Diego scene is the best part of the whole movie and anyone who disagrees can fight me. Did you know they're already talking about a THIRD movie?!?! I heard Michael Crichton might write another book. How cool would THAT be???
Fave dino: T-Rex OBVIOUSLY. The KING.

Hey Mike, great site! I'm actually a grad student in paleontology at CU Boulder and I just wanted to say your accuracy checks are pretty spot-on. One correction though - the Dilophosaurus was actually even BIGGER than 20 feet, some specimens suggest up to 23 feet. Also we recently found some evidence that many theropods may have had feathers, even some bigger ones. The JP raptors might have been fluffy in real life!!! Imagine that!!! Anyway, love the site, keep spreading dino knowledge to the masses.
Fave dino: Deinonychus (the REAL Velociraptor)

Hi Mike!!! Your page loaded kinda slow on my 28.8 modem but IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT. The behind the scenes stuff about Stan Winston is AMAZING, I had no idea people were inside the raptor suits!!! That blows my mind. I want to work in special effects when I grow up (I'm 16). Your site is one of my bookmarks now!!! Also Jeff Goldblum can get it. Just saying. LOL.
Fave dino: The baby Stegosaurus from Lost World, SO CUTE

Good site! I run a Spielberg fan page (link below) and I'd love to trade links with you. Your FX breakdown is one of the most detailed I've seen on the web. The DID (Dinosaur Input Device) section is especially good - most people don't know about Phil Tippett's contribution to the CG process. Have you seen the Making of Jurassic Park documentary? It goes into even MORE detail about the ILM pipeline. Let me know if you want to join the Spielberg Web Ring!
Fave Spielberg movie: Schindler's List (but JP is a close second)

DUDE. I found this site right before The Lost World came out and I was SO HYPED. Then I saw the movie and came straight back here to read your review. You nailed it!!! The trailer scene is the best scene Spielberg has EVER directed (yeah I said it!!!). My only complaint is I wish there were more raptors in the movie. The tall grass scene was too short!!! We need like a whole raptor movie. Someone make that happen. Anyway Mike you rock, keep this site going forever!!!
Fave dino: Raptor. Always raptor. Raptor 4 life.

Hey everyone, this is my coworker Dave from Video Galaxy! Mike literally will NOT stop talking about dinosaurs at work. Every customer who comes in, he's like "have you seen Jurassic Park?" and tries to get them to rent it. He's got the VHS copy behind the counter and plays it on the store TV on loop. Our boss is getting annoyed but honestly it's good for business. Anyway, cool site Mike! Even though you made me sit through The Lost World TWICE opening weekend. My butt was so numb. Worth it though.
Fave dino: Whatever one will make Mike stop talking for 5 minutes LOL
